three years after settling into tampa, we were introduced to a woman named jeannie tate and jeannie was head of an organization called heart of adoption. and their goal was to get pregnant and did not want to terminate the pregnancy, they wanted to have life in the situations were challenging, they were hard to deal with but the women agreed they would work with adoptions and promised and pledged to find loving christian homes for their babies. and we could still see her passion as she's told the stories and spoke but it really broke my heart when i heard about the number of african-american and biracial children that were just lingering in foster care and it is because there were no families to adopt them. that really stood with me and i talked it over with tony and i said i think the holy spirit is nudging us to do something about that. [cheering] i said absolutely. if you believe in the sanctity of life, you believe you are pro-life, then what are we going to do about it? so we had to respond. after praying about it, we completed our paperwork and jeannie contacted us immediately. yo
