let's bring in jeff ranieri with a look at what is next. the last couple of weeks have been a roller coaster, jeff. >> a huge temperature extremes expected over the next seven days. today 11 different records set across the bay area. and the remarkable thing is we could have today more records on this single day than we have had for any other day. not only this year, but for last year. bodega bay one of them at 84 degrees. the old record at 76, shattering the old record in half moon bay at 80 degrees. the old, 55. and 78 in hayward with the old record at 77. san jose with a record-setting temperature of 83 degrees, breaking the old one set way back in 1901. so temperatures about 10 to 15 degrees above average, and we are going to be in for some big-time changes. we're going to track the system that is going to be track dropping down from the gulf of alaska. over the next three or four days, this will drastically change the weather pattern. temperature 20 to 25 degrees cooler. we'll have the timeline on all of this for you and when you can e

jeff? >> yeah, it's been a while, the past 24 hours for parts of the bay area that didn't even have hail that covered entire lawns in some case. what you're going to find is our cold storm system is moving off to the south. a lot of that severe weather also pushing off to the south at this point. even a reported tornado down near bakersfield, california. the other thing, of course, we're following is all of the severe reports right here in the bay area. lightning early this morning in san francisco and oakland. multiple strike there's. even hail that covered parts of 101. i drove through that right through the san francisco airport. and there was a multiple car accident. dangerous. and winds atop 40 miles per hour with at least 900 outages at its peak this morning. also, some very rare snow down to about 2500 feet at mt. hamilton. that's at the elevation of 4,360 feet. let's show you some of these pictures. you can see not only the snow, but the roads very icy as it provided a light dusting
