there saying jeff sessions needs to recuse himself from any investigation into russia and the trump campaign that may be going on. senator lindsey graham is one of them. senator susan collins. senator dean heller. senator rob portman, all kind of considered to be some of the more moderate voices in the republican party, people who i think lindsey graham, for example, might consider himself to be ballast in the ship of state, if you will, trying to kind of make sure that the government continues on even as the trump presidency unfolds in a way that certainly many republicans privately feel has been destabilizing. so there is definitely a fissure among republicans. but leadership so far seems to be holding steady in supporting president trump. paul ryan, the speaker of the house, would not say that jeff sessions needs to recuse himself. he acknowledged that, okay, if jeff sessions himself becomes a target of an investigation, then he certainly would obviously have to recuse himself. he wasn't ready to say at this point that he should recuse himself from any investigation that's going on. brian, the other thing that i think is important here, especially in the context of capi
