we bring in jeff ranieri now. any indication of when we know long term where we're going to go with this? >> i looked at the long-term patterns. even 14 days out the climate center is predicting below average temperatures. i've come up with a new word. interested in hearing what it is? >> yes, what is it? >> junuary. if you see that on any other stations, it came here first. all right, let's take a look outside as we headed throughout this afternoon and early evening. we put a time lapse on this. we've had some breaks of sun, mainly a lot of cloud cover and some scattered showers in and throughout san francisco. that's really what we had from the north bay down to the south bay with a hot of our hills picking up most of the accumulation. just giving some of this moisture a little lift. humidity is a little bit high, so throughout the south bay and also our coastal hills, it did feel a little sticky. 65 in los gatos, temperatures about 20 degrees off the mark in livermore. only 62 today, just 59 in san rafael and 6

. >>> let's turn things over to jeff ranieri in the weather center. >> we have some sunshine coming ineven-day forecast. one of the warmest stretches we may have here in about eight month's time. los gatos 82. santa rosa at 70. cooler where the fog had a tougher time clearing out. we're holding on to a little bit of warmth right now in fairfield with 60. the low clouds and the fog as we head throughout the night, friday 70 degree temperatures coming back, and it stays dry. ahead, we're still looking at this warm stretch of weather with 80s right on down the pipeline. no mid to high level cloud cover across the bay area. wanted to give you an update on hurricane adrian. winds 113 miles an hour. moving well away from mexico. the water may get kicked up across the shore line. you shouldn't have any problems from this storm system if you're headed to mexico over the next three or four days. it's really a storm for the fish right now. patchy fog tomorrow morning, for the weekend it's going to stay dry with temperatures in the 70s, we start off tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m. we find the patch

i'm chief meteorologist jeff ranieri. a warmer day with, yes, even more 80s in our inland spots. right now 81 in livermore. we'll have more clouds tonight, but we'll talk about our e lafoarmingale givthyo u and we'll also give you the latest on our first eastern pacific hurricane coming up. >>> want to get you up to speed right now on some breaking news that's happening on the peninsula. a caltrain accident, a fatal accident, now the second fatal accident in the last last two days. you're looking at chopper footage. this happened around 4:30 this afternoon. southbound train on caltrain, train number 362, hit and killed a person. this is in the area of bellevue in burlingame is where the accident happened. so far they've taken the train and stopped it at the san mateo station. what you're looking at, again, are live pictures now of the investigation under way. the accident happened near bellevue in burlingame, or where bellevue crosses the tracks in burlingame. as i said, just yesterday another caltrain killed and hit a person in burling-game. that was the eighth death on the calt
