i'm joined now by boston radio talk show host jeff santos and "boston herald" editorial page editor shellynt to thank both of you for being here. this is your community, too, so i know it's difficult. jeff, how important is it that the president is here? >> i think it's huge. it's so important. we've seen so much violence over the last 72 hours, and to have the president come with a group of people all over, you know, trying to find peace. young martin richard tragically killed here on monday talked about stopping the hurt and the president and others coming together it's important to do just, that stop the hurt. >> i was in dorchester where martin lived and i talked to a lot of mothers there, and it's heartbreaking. you want to find the right words. what do you think that the city of boston and the entire country need to hear from the president today? >> well, i think he needs to address the sense of community, and both the sense of community and the toughness that is boston. this is a very resilient city, and we're all kind of getting prepared to move on with our lives. yes, we want thos
