thomas, nbc bay area news. >> that is lovely! >> hear a little applause. that's a great story. jeff ranieri's here. about our hot weather and some of the concerns going with it these next few days, jeff. >> yeah, it's going to be dangerous. really, the most, as we head through tomorrow with another big surge in temperatures. we are going well above 101 degrees here for some of those inland cities. also a little bit humid out here. i know you felt it if you were out here for more than ten to 15 minutes. a little bit more like the east coast outside. let's get a look over the east bay. this is near concord. right now, 98 degrees after hitting low 100s, but it's going to be a slow dropoff. if you don't have ac, your house is going to have a hard time cooling off. here's a look at the complex pattern. we have remnants of what was once tropical storm alita, pushing in some lightning, thunderstorms and humidity to california. and the bigger item, of course, is this hot air coming from that area of high pressure. this continues to move into place through tomorrow. certainly, keeping that hot air with us.
