jeff barn, abc 7 news. leon: a guilty plea this morning from the man accused of jumping the white house fence back in october. he was the man who jumped the fence only to be quickly apprehended by two k-9 officers. he will still face charges from a separate july incident in the white house. he's facing up to one year in prison in this case. he'll be sentenced in july. that plea comes one day after federal officials approved the installation of steel spikes on the top of the white house fence. the spikes are meant to deter future jumpers like the military veteran that made it into the white house last year before being captured inside. the steel spikes are a temporary measure until a new fence can be designed and built and then installed. first lady michelle obama spent time away from the white house today with american veterans. mrs. obama and dr. jill biden visited a veterans center in silver spring. the trip was made to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the joining forces initiative that raises awareness of veterans issues. the white house is launching a new push against the senate to stop its stalling o
