joining us now is brent, jefferies tech analyst, buy rating on microsoft, $550 price target.around the hardware side of these -- this ai pc boom and the potential for upgrades? . >> i think there's excitement that it comes in software. it's not really the hardware. hardware will make it easier as michael dell said, to hit a copilot button and tell you your next meeting and things you need to know about traffic or weather and/or whatever you need to do throughout the day. i think magic still coming in the software. microsoft and amazon are leading that push in the enterprise. google and meta are leading that charge in the consumer market. so we are very excited microsoft's our top pick. we think the stock is going to 550 on $16 earnings power. and this is just at the beginning of the ai push. we think microsoft has a huge runway. they've infused ai from security to infrastructure to applications up and down the stack. now you have a hardware layer to help reinforce this and make it easier for consumers and enterprises to adopt. i'm not as excited about the h hardware side. >>

joining us now is david zervos, jefferies chief market strategies and cnbc contributor. la la land and think they still are and do you think that bowman's commentary will prove? >> it's a lot less of a la la land than before. when we started the year six to seven rate cuts priced in. the market is a little bit more normal now, and i think these comments from governor bowman really are not anything new. she's been one of the more hawkish members of the committee. she's talked about the potential for a rate hike, if inflation did not come down. so i don't think this is really new news. people probably spending a little more time on her comments related to bank regulation, which there's still infighting going on at capitol hill and the fed about that. but not really hugely market moving from the rate or equity perspective of the big picture. >> yeah. absolutely. lack of consensus on what to do about capital rolls. we'll get to that in a moment. in terms of the markets, you think that market concentration and the gains therein is a positive story line from a macro standpoint

look, especially in women's clothing, we have seen brands like aloe and biori surge and jefferies, whichwomen's business in the u.s. for aloe and biori are $1.5 dlp billion. lulu's is $4 billion, considering they posed no threat three to four years ago. when i talked to calvin mcdonald about the competition argument he said look we've been dealing with competition for years. there's nothing new here. there's nothing to suggest our brands aren't resonating. they have seen a few missteps and they have seen the consumer waeken, they lost their chief product officer, something he told me was planned, they had a succession plan in place and feel good about it and going to be releasing innovation. now it's going to be battleground because it's not the same kind of world we saw from lulu to see 2 to 3% growth in the u.s. is not where it was in the last few years. investors will have to decide whether they still see it as a growth story. >> sara, thank you. sara eisen, of course, joining us with her reporting. let's get a news update now. seema moody has that for us. >> david, the israeli milita
