abby: jehmu, you look at this election up and down the ballots. as one of the biggest losses for the democratic party. you have to say going forward is that really the answer? is that going to win elections with that message? >> look, building a resistance to donald trump's administration is a part of what the democratic party needs to do. we also needs to inspire with our ideas. we need to deliver results on issues that matter. there's an opportunity here to transform the party. there is an opportunity to connect more with the young people who believe in our values and support our policies. but aren't turning out to support us. there is an opportunity. and i think that's really important in that debate that's going to happen as the dnc elects its leadership is crucial. but we cannot as a key factor for the majority of the american people who are looking for resistance to this administration step down on that goal. pete: are the majority of the american people really looking for resistance to this administration or are they willing to give donald
