jen, what's the latest? >> reporter: hi, isha. now it's battering the baumgs right now, parts of central and southeastern bahamas. you can see on the satellite imagery a very wide storm. we're talking hurricane force winds extend 110 kilometers from the center of circulation. we are getting a report now of structural damage and reportedly several settlements of the bahamas, the roofs were taken off and areas where homes were destroyed. it's going to take until tomorrow, of course, sunlight until we can see some of that damage. the winds right now 194 kilometers. as i said right now it's in the southern and central part of the bahamas. but by tomorrow it's going to be in the northern region. and the wind are going to be going up to 213 kilometers. so if we're getting reports now of damage and regions down towards the south, of course we're going to hear that tomorrow as well as those winds come up to major category strength. you can see 213. and then it moves into the open water. and then as we go into saturday, weather conditions

irene getting bigger and bigger, jen? >> yeah. it has been getting bigger. right now it's about 85 kilometers east, northeast of the dominican republic. roughly about 50 kilometers. you can see on the satellite imagery, moving to the north of dominican republic and rain being felt through parts of the d.r. and puerto rico. we'll continue to see our weather conditions deteriorating in the path of hurricane irene. right now it is a category 2. but it looks like within the next 24 hours, tuesday it's going to become a major hurricane. the winds have been holding steady at 157 kilometers per hour. as we go into tuesday, the late afternoon, as well as into the evening, it's going to be very close to right on top of the turks and caicos as well as southeastern parts of the bahamas, with winds 194 kilometers. look what will happen. as we go to the northwest winds 204 kilometers and eventually you can see 204 just to the east of florida. as we go through wednesday morning, it's going to be in central bahamas and into thursday, you can see where the location is going

. >> i'm cheryl jennings. one person has been killed and officer and security guard were injured. incident happened around 9:15 this morning. mark matthews is near the scene. do we know hot victim is yet? >> reporter: no, we have not heard yet. we are half a mile from the scene. we are on the west side of i-80. this is happening on the east side of 80 at the wells fargo, right there in the shopping center on the east side. about 9:15 a loomis armored car truck was making a delivery and robber approached the bank and tried to rob the truck or the bank. from there we are told that there was shots fired, at least two people injured on the police side. a pinole police officer and a security guard. i'm told they are both okay but there is a body in the street on fitzgerald next to the wells fargo bank. we believe that is one of the bank robbers, police are searching the other shops in that shopping center for a possible second suspect. a witness to this robbery was in the outback steakhouse, walked out in time to see it happened but here is what he saw. >> police were everywhere. i gue
