jens korte joins us now. jens, the imf has made it very clear it is lowering growth based on moves initiated the u.s. so, how is the news playing out there? jenswell, the imf is not necessarily famous for being super timely with their forecasts. for example, when the imf is talking about emerging markets like turkey, like brazil, like argentina, for instance, as having a tough time, that is not exactly news. we have known that and see that for some time. also the forecast is not super dramatic, at least for this year. we're talking about matching globally the biggest growth in about seven years, and then a slight change in the forecast for next year. this year the forecast for the u.s. actually still remains unchanged. so there was not big reaction here on wall street, even if we traded slightly lower on this news. helena: jens, do you think the president will take heed of what the imf had to say? jens: well, probably not directly from what the imf has to say, because u.s.. -- u.s. president donald trump is not a big fan of institutions like the imf. but let's say that because of the trade policies, because of higher tariffs, more and more u.s

jen: i was. mary: does it feel like progress? ai-jen: i think it was -- as a survivor myself, i think millions of us have experienced pieces of dr. blasey ford's truth. and it was incredible to bear witness to her courage. to alt like giving voice pain and a truth and a human cost that we need to face. there andfound to be in stark contrast, it was also really -- i was really struck by what i thought was a palpable disdain on the part of some of the members of the judiciary committee. caitlin: a failure to really recognize or even acknowledge our right to speak our truths. and to have justice in the situation. it was palpable, actually. lack of respect for women that i saw demonstrated the day was this a row. -- was visceral. mary: i want to turn to today. you were telling me before we came out, there's a march planned that will go into ours. a women's march headed to the supreme court. you lead the national domestic workers alliance which represents domestic workers in the u.s. many of your members have been fighting like hell against the kavanaugh confirmation. why? what is their stake in this? if you think about the domestic workers, it is the nannies who take care of our children's, the homeworkers, the isolation of working in the private home where there is no hr department, there is no other that its, the power leads to incredible vulnerability to abuse and harass -- the lakers and you can report it to us a person who was harassing you. it's profound. this is something that has been an issue that we have been talking about for years. courage on the part of survivors that have come forward in the last year has really inspired a new level of courage and defiance and our membership to say, we have an opportunity to actually address this former ability. mary: get specific amount. this is a big criticism of the me too movement. it has allowed women in hollywood to speak their truth, or women in elite media circles to speak their trip and not so much for working class women. ai-jen: i think the courage is contagious. one of the things that is defining at this moment of women's organizing is that women are actually supporting each other across industry, across thisnity, and creating space to allow for the least visible and most honorable among us to actually lead on solutions, so that no one is left behind. our current federal anti-discrimination and harassment protections in the work pace require a minimum of 15 employees in order to have those protections. not effectively excludes the entire domestic care sector. because you very rarely have 15 employees. there are millions of women who are falling through the cracks. we see this as an opportunity to actually transform that an update our policy for the 21st century. mary: you were telling me centric -- something interesting with farmworker spirit what is going on there? ai-jen: farmworkers and domestic workers, those are workers who have been most systematically excluded from basic protections. are leading on s

jens korte is standing by. that is a pretty impressive recovery. what is going on, exactly? jens: last week we saw the worst week for wall street since march, and now on tuesday we had the best day on wall street since the end of march. well, there are a couple of factors underplay here on wall street. first of all, we got some really good economic news from the labor market. job openings with a good 7 million, reached a new record. that is almost one million more job openings than people who are officially claimed unemployed. that shows that there is almost full employment here in the united states. then we also got a bunch of pretty solid earnings reports from banks like oldman sachs and morgan stanley, but also especially from the health care industry. johnson and johnson beating earnings expectations. that is why it popped up by more than 500 points. javier: talk of the world's largest ever ipo is also getting louder. what is the latest? jensuber technologies, the r ide sharing company, got some proposals from banks for their planned ipo which will probably happen at some point in 2019. some of the banks see value for uber next year at $120 billion. so, that is quite a breathtaking number, if you consider the company only employs about 13,000 people, if it is -- it is not profitable, and it is probably not going to be profitable anytime soon. but investors keep pumping money into uber. just to get an idea of what $120 billion means, uber would be worth more than ford, general motors, and fiat chrysler. the big three u.s. carmakers combined. javier: jens, thank you very much. the united states is to impose a fresh set of sanctions on iran. they will target a multibillion-dollar financial network that allegedly funds the recruitment of training of child soldiers. it is part of a wider u.s. campaign aimed at putting pressure on the iranian economy. earlieier this year u.s. presidt donald trump pulled out of the landmark nucle
