jennifer, thank you very much. and as you can tell, even though that fragile truce has expired, the crowds that have gathered in the central square showing no signs of leaving. south sudan's warring factions now agreeing to a cease fire, leaders from both sides signing off on a five week cease fire agreement. jamal has more from jube ba, the capital of south sudan. >> it's been a long awaited cease fire, but a huge break deal nonetheless. at least now those who have fled their homes because of the violence that has raged through south sudan over the past several weeks has some hope that they may return soon. the cease fire just signed essentially guarantees there will be permission, or both sides would allow for aid to reach those effected. however, it will only be implemented 24 hours after the signing of the time of that signing. despite this break through, despite the cease fire, many view that this is just a patching of a wound that continues to bleed. because there are real differences between both sides here.

cnn meteorologist jennifer grey is here with more. what have you learned, jennifer?ready seen tornado warnings this morning in georgia, south carolina and florida panhandle. no tornado warnings right now. severe thunderstorm warnings though in portions of south carolina and north carolina. we are seeing this long line of strong storms and some of these can be severe. we had definitely a strong line roll through atlanta just about an hour ago. it's starting to taper off now. this line of showers or storms stretches from the panhandle all of the way up to the northeast. even getting rain in places like new york city, boston, it is a cold rain but much warmer air has filtered in. that's why all of this is not snow. it is rain. and that's the good news. a lot of storm reports. we had reports of hail. we had reports of very gusty winds. all over the south. that will continue as we have a slight risk of severe weather throughout the rest of the day for the east coast. ranfall totals could be from one to two inches in the southeast and isolated amounts even more. >> jennife
