jennifer: thank you. in manchester 20 people have been kiss placed after fire tore through a three-story apartment house there. andy hershberger is live tonight outside the building. reporter: authorities believe that this fire was started by careless disposal of smoking materials, and tonight 20 people are homeless. the fire started here on clifford avenue about 1:00 in the morning. this video was taken by one of the first responding officers. there were six units inside this apartment building, 14 adults and six children live there. firefighter had to help some of the people escape and one person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. one resident said she heard an explosion and ran to her door to see what was happening. >> i could see flames dripping down, like a water fall, and i just heard a bunch of people screaming and they could small the smoke, so i had to go and wake up my husband and son who as soon as possible. reporter: firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to near
