jennifer ashton has more on that.d lymph nodes in women who have had the covid vaccine and they don't want that to produce confusion with results of their mammogram so they're offering some suggestions. if possible, one of them is to get your mammogram before your first shot or wait four to six weeks after your second shot and important, amy, talk to your radiologist and your doctor. let them know which arm you've been vaccinated in and when. this is so important. >> dr. jen, i was just talking to someone this week who was telling me about the swollen lymph nodes that but that could actually be a good thing, correct? >> yeah, this is your body doing its job and so you want to ideally get those doses in the same arm but the most important thing is to realize that just seeing an enlarged lymph node in an armpit. we call it axillary lymph nodes without a breast finding is not necessarily a sign of breast cancer. >> right, because normally that would be an alarming thing to see a swollen lymph node or feel one underneath
