secretary jennifer granholm, welcome. i want to start with what this important legislation will mean for individual americans. where will our viewers see the results in their own lives and how can they take advantage of them? sec. granholm: there are huge opportunities for individuals especially as they consider retrofitting their homes to be more energy-efficient. if you wanted to install a heat pump in your home, replace your hvac system. you can get significant tax credits to be able to do that. more moderate -- the more moderate or low income you are, the greater those benefits are. there will be a period of rebates associated with an energy-efficient appliance such as heat induction stoves, etc. coming out this year. also if you want to generate your own energy, there is a 30% tax credit or solar, for small wind. there are tax credits for making sure if you want to have an electric vehicle, 75 hundred dollars off the top. you can get a tax credit for installing charging equipment in your home. and you can have tax cr
