we go live now to fox 29's jennifer joyce who is at the scene in montgomery county. good morning jennifer. >> reporter: good morning, lauren chris. you said we just spun out roughly 90 people affected by this early morning fire here at the washington towers apartment complex in whitemarsh township. the fire marshall says that three people who live inside the apartment were where the fire originated have been transport today abington hospital with minor injuries. we do know that this fire broke out just before 1:00 this morning. it was knocked down within an hour, roughly two dozen people though, were rescued from their balconies and additional people were rescued from out of their first story windows. the fire marshall says it is unclear how the fire started. it is obviously under investigation. he says one of the biggest issues this morning was the 19 degrees temperatures. >> it is very cold out. it is icy. the parking lot wasn't plowed that well. so from the get-go we had ice conditions. we're putting hose lines in the street to charge, they leak, we have additional

. >> fox 29's jennifer joyce is there now with a look at how it looks. hi jen. >> reporter: hi, chris jen you can fortunately from where we're standing you can't see too much. the water main break happened behind me, behind shopping center in the area of grant avenue and blue grass road. the philadelphia water department says it was alerted about the broken pipe at about 7:00 last night and still nine hours later water rushing out. according to a spokesperson, with the philadelphia water department, it is not actually a water main break but rather, a fire service connection. so it should have no impact on customers. the water department says that this is their biggest season for breaks, with the colds weather and freezing pipes there were actually eight breaks yesterday alone. the biggest concern for the grant avenue incident at this point is getting the valve shut off as soon as possible, the water department says they've had some difficulty tackling this break. >> challenge finding the proper valves to this location, but out here working as quickly as

man is dead in connection to a double shooting and crash investigation, lets guess to fox 29's jennifer joyce for that story. jennifer good morning. >> reporter: good morning, guys. we have two men shot, one is dead, one in critical but stable condition at einstein medical center. police believe the shooting likely led to this crash that you see. they were called to north american and clarkson streets for report of a car into a house. they didn't find out about the shooting until at least a hour later. police say it was about 12:45 this morning when they arrived to find a conscious 20 year old man bleeding from the head. he got out of the mini-van and was talking to police about the accident. but he never mentioned that he was shot in the head. he also never mentioned that he had a friend in the car who was shot dead. police say they are talking to witnesses who are telling them that there were five people in the van when it crashed, three took off. >> several witness that is are being interviewed at homicide did tell first responding officers that they saw at least three individuals fleeing

lets get jennifer joyce live from northeast philadelphia with the the story. >> reporter: well, alex, a 26 year-old man is being treated at temple trauma after he was shot here in this parking lot behind me. this is a parking lot of the wal-mart here at the philadelphia mills mall, franklin mills mall, the shooting happened around 12:30 this morning. police say a man came here to settle a debt with another man but instead of that man paying up he fired a weapon and shot the the victim three times in the chest arm and leg. now the victim's brother was actually inside the driver's seat of the car when all of this happened when he watched his brother be shot. he was in the the pennsylvania passenger seat. they immediately took the victim to the hospital. police say that they have already retrieved, and reviewed, store surveillance video which clearly shows what happened. >> you can see the flash of the weapon and the shots being fired and then the victim's vehicle will the scene and shooter runs back into his vehicle, gets in the drivers seed and also takes off from the scene. the it the
