jennifer joyce joins us from center city. any idea when lawmakers might make this official? >> yes it could happen today. so good news for a lot of people. this bill is expected to be passed during the city council meeting today at 10:00 a.m., and the mayor is expected to sign it at some point later today. now it has take answer little while to get to this point. we'll take a look at some video from a role fry two years ago where working families, business owners, advocates, were pushing for paid sick leavement the bill will help roughly 200,000 city workers. it will call for employers who have at least ten workers to provide up to five days of paid sick leave, one hour of sick leave is earned for every 40 hours worked. those in favor of the bill say this will help people financially explaining people who are out sick for three days lose an entire month's grocery budget, without the security of this bill, people who call out sick currently jeopardize their employment. also with this bill, people who are sick will be more inclined to stay home instead of coming to the office

fox 29's jennifer joyce live at the scene. jen, i necessity you have just arrived, what have you learned so far. >> well, we have just talk to a couple officials on the scene and we are awaiting the the police chief to come over and brief us on the the situation, taking a look here off in the distance you can see a couple of police cars, chris, as you mentioned we are hearing this stemmed from a burglary at a gun shop on levittown parkway. that is where this investigation is, centered. we heard it turned into a barricade situation. we are being kept back, behind the wal-mart, across the way for safety reasons. new bucks county officials also told us that automated shelter in place call went out to people living in this area around 3:00 a a.m. asking people to stay put. but if they have to go out they are asked to avoid this area. we know area businesses, including this wal-mart, were evacuated, and we know that the levittown parkway is shut down between spur lane and route 13 as i'm sure bob kelly has been reporting. so again

. >> i yes, so jennifer joyce is roving right now where things i'm sure nice, perhaps dark, but nice. >> yes, still dark. we are up in allentown, just got off those 476 heading into allentown, here, at the toll plaza area. you can see light snow falling in this area. and when we first arrived here we did see several salt trucks headed out to obviously treat these roads. and keeping an eye on the roads, as the snowfalls throughout the morning. this is the first sign of snow that we saw. we noticed the precipitation as we were about five or so miles south of allentown prior to that, everything was fine though, hadn't been any snow or rain until philadelphia area, allentown temperature drops, it is 30 degrees, up here, meaning with nip sort of precipitation, we could face icing roadways. so that's what we're dealing with right now if you are taking a look at the roadways, see they are clearly wet. as we are dealing with the light snow right now so we will keep an eye out there. and we will continue to bring you the latest conditions we are seeing up in the allentown area chris lauren? >>
