i'm the jennifer rubio, associate curator of the whitney museum of american art. and i'm the curator of next. he still won the 2nd puerto rican art in the wake of hurricane maria. the idea originated after the event itself. i'm puerto rican, but i live in brooklyn. we saw what was happening through images on the tv screen, and it was a really horrific event. have this incredible privilege of being a curator, i one of the most important museums in the world. so i thought, you know, i can provide this platform for the arts of puerto rico. there's definitely a sense of frustration and anger that's very palpable. i think throughout the entire exhibition about how the government, both federal and local government, neglected puerto rico in the immediate aftermath of the hurricane. this is a painting titled, collapsed soul by god, molly, until the regus. it's one of the favorites, i would say, i always see people standing here looking under painting when heard, can maria happened? got molly. i realized that cargo ships and boats in general, are lifeline to puerto rico be
