s of the reverend jeremiah wright's sermons. here's pat buchanan talking about the impact. >> obama has one problem. he's got one foot in radicalism, the folks in west virginia, they knew one thing about barack obama, jeremiah wright was his pastor and he lost 20 points. >> any right-wing opponent of barack obama could play that as a news program. >> and it's going on the web as well, youtube. you may have it played 200 times on television. it's being played a million times on youtube and the internet. people are going to it partly out of entertainment. partly to reinforce their own political views. but it's become sort of news. chris: especially when you have news networks who have points of view. they can say, it's just news, let's look at it again. >> and they're never put in context. it goes up on youtube, nobody says what the context was, and it goes viral. so there's never a frame around it saying, this is how this happened. this is the background in which it happened, this is background of the record. all of that is out.

crucifixes in urine and we have preachers accused of endorsing candidates left and right, whether it's jeremiah wrighttv evangelist. >> so, this million dollars that george soros gave media matters in 2010, he gets a tax deduction for that because he's go i having to-- giving to a 5013 c organization, is that appropriate? >> i don't think that soros' agenda and making can contributions to any of the organizations is for a tax write off. that's a bigger conversation that should probably happen. so there's george soros on the left and the koch brothers on the right. we each have those that funds come from. they're not making for the tax deductions, if we take it away, we need to take it away for everyone. >> and jehmu mentioned... should read a book by matt ba b-a-i and talked about garying soros and others, media is one. and jewish social justice is another and all of the other groups, it puts context on it. it's part of an overall effort. i'm not saying there's not one on right similar, but the question in all cases are they obeying the law. >> you mentioned the two organizations and glenn beck has be

in fact, in my experience, i have not seen him that angry since jeremiah wright had his comeback tourarries him through a point where frankly according to a confidant of the president, he is dead clear he is willing to stake his presidency on this. this is not a minor twist, an incremental moment. this is a defining moment, in his view, because again in his opinion, he cannot govern, and the economy cannot pick up any kind of speed with these kinds of games going on. if he is held hostage and the economy is held hostage every six months to the latest demands of the tea party, then there's no way forward for him or for the country, and that's what he has to go out and explain tonight. i don't know if that's news, in a sense, but he does have a resáonsibility to explain that to the american people and to the members of congress who want to push him this hard. >> howard, hold that thought, we're going to take a break. stay with us, we're going to come right back and have more on the speeches tonight from the president and the speaker of the house when we return.
