jermaine jackson has let it known how the family has been feeling, and how upset they were during the day of the photograph of his dead body, shown in the court room, lying on a stretcher in the hospital. he was lifeless. the family found that extremely upsetting. >> apart from what the doctor did or failed to do, what do we know about his background and what might happen to him, whichever way this verdict goes? >> he is a cardiologist. he had his men practice in texas. he also practiced in nevada, in las vegas, where michael jackson and his children first came into contact with him. the children went to the doctor and it was dr. murray, and he got to know michael jackson. he is well respected by his patients in texas. a number of those patients came to court to support him. they say he went far beyond what a regular doctor would do. he would spend as much time as he could with his patience. a lot of those patients described how he became their friend, a very close friend. they could call him if they were concerned about their treatment. the credit dr. murray with saving their lives.

she was comforted by jermaine jackson and randy jackson. latoya jackson, michael jackson's sister let out a shriek even though we were all warned not to make any type of reaction to the verdict. but on the other side of the courtroom, anderson, was conrad murray and his family and friends. conrad murray, when that verdict was read, anderson, he did not react at all. he sat there stone faced staring at the bench and the judge. what was interesting, the next thing the judge did was dismiss the jury and he sentenced conrad murray, told him to go straight to jail even though the defense said he's not a flight risk. but the judge said he's now a convicted felon. this was a homicide even though it was a lower class of a felony. it still was a homicide. he said he could be a danger to the public, and he'll stay in jail until his sentencing november 29th. but the most bizarre moment was when he was handcuffed. the court proceeding was not done yet and hes was handcuffed even while he's sitting in his chair. even the judge said, let's wait a minute.
