at the time jerry's goal was to become an astronaut. he was studying his first semester at an aeronautical university in florida. after that first semester he came home and he went for a dirt biking day with his friends and fortunately in that trip he suffered an accident on the bike and he suffered a broken neck. >> it left him a c-4 quad pledge i can that basically meant he couldn't move. >> it happened in 2009 and in the three years after the accident he was through therapy able to gain some of his mobility in his upper body and hands just to be able to move his own chair and in april of 2012 he suffered a 107 degrees fever which ended up giving him a seizure and causing him to have additional brain damage which basically ended up reversing all the accomplishments he had gained in the last three years. which brings us to today. his family found out about a stem cell treatment that he can have that gives him hope that maybe one day he can actually walk again. this is a treatment center that he has been accepted to in thailand. in orde
