schedule but introduce our keynote speaker for the first part of prelaunch i want to introduce jerry berman for spoke about earlier today and jerry created all of this. it was his vision to create an organization that can cure to internet policy conversation where no one cared about it and jerry believes that this organization can treat this as if they didn't know it yet and we had a long long time that was not the case but people seem to be coming around and thinking this is important. terry and thanks to jerry and other boards on the directors and also meant congressman rick white and rick white was member of the state of washington during that time and rick, thank you for coming. . >> jerry berman with the internet education foundation. with the comments by the f. c. c. how long did it take you since comments are coming in for a very long time for you to figure out when you are getting 9000 comments from -- something is wrong? >> this is a great question and the honest truth is i gave you what i understand it to be today for what we found in my office is a handful of people was limited to our research capabilities. we need more experts on the outside combing through that record and identifying problems. i've made very clear along with the help of folks like the new york attorney general that we have a few million individuals whose identities were stolen. you can do some easy counting to figure out how much is from foreign addresses. we need many other outside experts to look at this record and help us identify the problem that we should focus on because i think there is more here than what i've described to you today. again i think it's incumbent upon us to get to the bottom of it and figure it out. >> thank you so much. >> thank you tim. thank you a

[applause] >> is congressman goodlatte here? he is coming in. it is an honor for me to be here and to introduce congressman goodlatte. as many of you know, he is retiring this year after a long run success there of virginia. he worked tirelessly on encryption policy comer surveillance policy. we've dialogued over the years on these issues. but what was critical and it's been absolutely critical to the success of the internet education foundation, which runs because of bob goodlatte and tim morgan and they both deserve a hand just for that.
