taylor. in terms of the approached those guys took to the game and in managing men, how much to using that aspect of baseball has changed? jerry >> i think you have to be careful because all the players make more money than the manager, and therefore they do not feel quite as stricken by the problems of the management. i think players are more independent. they are bigger and stronger and dumber than ever before. they do not play the same game. we'll its advanced runners when we could. we always tried to get the people to do the best job they could what ever their job was. everybody had a different role in the ball club. yogi was a hitter. the best in baseball. he could do everything. not many people could make that statement. johnny bench was probably the next best to yogi. overall i do not know how to answer that question except for i talk a lot and don't say much.
