we'll take you live to new jersey.ristie talking about that big fire on the boardwalk. let's listen. >> the damage extends from lincoln to stockton, about a four-block radius of the boardwalk. businesses have been destroyed. but the damage has been contained to commercial properties only. only exception was a fire that started on a roof of a condominium complex that was very quickly put out. while today the most important part of the job is done and that is the containment of the fire, it is not finished. the team on the ground is tackling this one step at a time to ensure that this site is secured and safe. today's job is focused solely on putting out the smoldering that is taking place in small pockets along the boardwalk. that may continue for days as these buildings collapsed, it sometimes hide what they call hot pockets underneath the debris. as that debris begins to remove, those hot spots can flair. for the next number of days we'll have to be vigilant on that. it's a slow and deliberate process as a result. the

new jersey got saturated. we are only expecting to see these rain showers and up to the northern portion of rain. we still get a few hit or miss showers. temperatures are cooling and dropping down to the low 70s for highs an we are also going to be cooler where we have all the flooding around denver and up to boulder tomorrow. and talking about that ticket area to the southwest. we are watching an area of low pressure slowly shift eastward and as it does that it's going to slowly cutoff the tropical moisture feed. now, you can see it coming up from the south and water vapor with the bright greens indicating where all the moisture is. it will start to cutoff with the general wind flow shifting. we will sta -rt to see the showers and thunderstorms through the day become lighter and heavier showers will have a peter probability father to the east. farther to the east. we will continue to watch the flood watches across colorado.

so we have firefighters and trucks from all around new jersey working together. currently seaside park and seaside heights has support from towns in osha county, burlington, cape may, union, mercer, atlantic, new jersey state police, and the state forest firefighters. preliminary number in terms of support and in caution, these are preliminary so we'll update these lawyers. 35 engine company, 13 ladder company, any number specialty units and on the scene now we have approximately 400 firefighters. the division, the state division of fire safety is working with the local incident commander to supply whatever fire service resources are needed. when i arrived on the scene, i met with the local incident commander. the state fire marshal and other support personnel assured them whatever resources would be necessary, if. we would provide them and i would make sure it was done. bottom line, everybody is working together. the current fire line goes from stockton to lincoln, along the boardwalk. fire personnel have dug up the boardwalk at lincoln avenue and dug a 20-fat t

the first is in seaside heights, new jersey.orient you to about where seaside heights is, it's on the jersey shore about an hour and a half south of new york city. if you're not from this region, you probably became aware of seaside heights last year when pictures from the jersey shore just riveted the whole country when super storm sandy devastated that area. the town itself and specifically the boardwalk and the attractions that had been a very popular vacation spot for generations were hit very badly by sandy. sandy hit wide, wide swaths of the eastern united states, but those gut-wrenching images of the storm hitting seaside heights have become some of the most iconic images of that storm. so this was the end of october last year. this is a live shot of seaside heights right now. see the fire on the right side of your screen there? the boardwalk, that same boardwalk that was devastated by sandy and has been rebuilt since is on fire. the whole famous beachside boardwalk had been rebuilt this year in time for the summer's tour
