and i told him -- al marquez. >> reporter: why did jesse hernandez suddenly turn pale? because of what happened to him. soon after the murder, said jesse, he was called to police headquarters for an interview. and there, he said, that same detective marquez told him write down what he remembered about the shooting. he says, "you know at this is [ bleep ]. you know and i know you did it." and i'm like, "how could you be saying that? how could you say i did it? you know, i didn't-- i didn't do anything."
