civil rights leaders jesse jackson and al sharpton were also there. >> friends and loved ones of thoseom covid 19 gathered in london to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the start of the pandemic. the rally was being held by reverend jesse jackson and reverend william jones.director of the local chapter. she always was as much a freedom fighter as she was a unique, gifted artist. and when we hear the charts claiming her magnitude of hits killing me softly. first time i ever saw his face, it went against what was considered the trend at the time of hard beating r&b. she was smooth and soft, mastered the piano and brought us into a kind of music that showed all cultures us at our best. we are better people and we are better culture because of roberta flack. she will always be missed, but thank god we'll have her voice that we can always turn on and listen to. and then this morning, i learned of the passing of a real freedom fighter that i've been in the trenches with for 35 or 40 years. in my teen years till now. hazel dukes, the former national president of the naacp and the head of the new york state chapter. i cannot think of an issue and a time. hazel dukes was not on the front line. she and i have gone to jail together, being arrested for demonstration

they should be having a loud argument the way bill clinton and jesse jackson did in 1989 and 1990, aftershing in 1988, where republicans won. and the problem is, the democrats right now are afraid of having a public debate because they don't want to help out trump. but i do think it's i do think it's stifling their ability to figure out what to do next. >> can i just say, i think many elected democrats are doing this so poorly that they're missing that there's actually not a ton of tension between people who live in those swing states and and the base of the democratic party. i mean, if democrats advance and articulate a robust economic populism that even stridently calls out this administration, i don't think they lose votes. i think people want to know that democrats are feeling the economic pain that the american people, that the american people are feeling, rather that that that democrats understand that pain and that they're able to give voice to it. and that's actually one of the things that bernie sanders does pretty well. >> only three districts are held by republicans that kamal
