. >> and i'm jessica aguirre. a sad ending to what was supposed to be a great day on the bay after two boats collided this afternoon, killing a son and sending the fathder to the hospital. that collision, a large motor boat slammed into a smaller boat, knocking the two passengers in the small boston whaler overboard. jean elle is live at san francisco general where the relatives are in disbelief tonight. >> reporter: they are. investigators came here to the hospital to talk with the survivor of that accident, but they tell me he was just too upset about the death of his son to give a statement. they tell me the family is overwhelmed with grief. family members at san francisco general hospital learned the horrible news, 20-year-old min chong died in a boating accident in the san francisco bay. relatives are overwhelmed. his father survived what police are calling a hornet accident. they say a much larger motor boat collided with the 19 foot whaler they were fishing in around noon. five agencies launched rescue boat
