jessica boyington with a quick check of the roads. we're watching the 42 freeway and our cameras around creek road. not a lot of cars here. it looks different from the 6:30 mark when we start to see volume moving northbound towards philadelphia. so right now, just a couple of cars out the door. no problems heading north or south. that's moving through the construction proj kect. there's new traffic patterns and shifts to watch for. this one on the 42 freeway headed southbound. the other direction we were looking at towards 295 northbound. watch for that, getting to 295 northbound if you're moving towards trenton, you may see lane restrictions and lane shifts. cherry hill, there's construction, but doesn't start until 7:00 in the morning. it's active for two weeks or so. it will be there around 3:30. the vine street expressway is open this morning. here's our cameras around 24th street. no problems east or westbound. you'll have access to the schuylkill expressway and 95. and lastly, we'll stop on 422. but it looks good here. eastbound

jessica boyington with one last check on the roads and finally, some good news. on the schuylkill expressway. that accident scene tieing up and snarling traffic on the eastbound side of the schuylkill around university avenue has finally opened back up. lanes are open on the eastbound side right now. that's why we'reç seeing movement. our cameras around spring garden street. still big delays on the eastbound side of the schuylkill expressway. that's because we've had this portion of it closed all morning long. so now, on the eastbound side of the schuylkill, if you are approaching the scene, still a little bit of a delay. we are seeing some movement. take the vine street expressway eastbound to avoid some of the residual delay right there. hop on to 95 that way. that will be your best bet for an alternate for now. good news there. the schuylkill expressway eastbound, lanes back open. also watching the tacony palmyra bridge in the process of that opening scheduled for 6:45. the betsy ross is an alternate there. the rest of of the bridges are okay. >>> 6:57 on thi

nbc 10 first alert traffic reporter jessica boyington is watching 95. jessica?> we have an ongoing construction project. a little bit of a different situation this morning on 95 on the southbound side. one lane is only getting by up ahead, just near the betsy ross bridge area the southbound traffic approaching the scene, we're looking around bridge street right now. almost at a standstill. they're just crawling. up ahead, only the left lane is getting by. the shoulder is missing. we're seeing the rest of the lanes gone as well. all of this traffic that has to get down to one lane is starting to really kind of çsit. 29 minutes right there, southbound from woodhaven road to the vine street expressway. average speeds are into the 20s now. we're seeing that increase and speeds drop as well. so, again, that's all traffic moving towards center city. there's an accident out in abington on shelmire and perry street. if you take the bridges, we're in the process of a scheduled opening. at least scheduled for the tacony palmyra. it's schedule for 5:10. more updates on 95

jessica boyington has a look there. jessica? sometimes this is an area where we start to see volume and delay. not yet, though, moving through camden underneath our graphic right over there. that's the ben franklin bridge toll plaza. not yet. we're seeing a couple cars heading in that direction. that will always change. moving through camden, into the philadelphia area, up over the ben franklin bridge, no problems. moving into new jersey or at least staying there, we'll look at cherry hill. there's a big construction project that begins today around 7:00 this morning. this will tie you up if you're moving around spring dale road. typically on the northbound side, we're not having it close. that's what's going to happen with this construction project in between evesham road to wilderness drive. 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 this afternoon, after that for the afternoon drive, it will open back up. this is going to be an active construction project for about three weeks. they're going to detour you through the scene. a lot of congestion in the

jessica boyington is watching that. jess?>> still okay on the schuylkill for the most part, seeing more cars heading out the door within the next half an hour or so. i'm sure we'll start to see an increase in drive times. watching the schuylkill around south street. no problems east or westbound right now. it's a little bit of a slow go at some points. other than that you're seeing typical drive times for right now. upper merion, an accident reported on dekalb pike and north henderson çroad. another crash into hatfield township, richmond road and bergey road. woodhaven road to the vine street expressway, headed toward center city, a 20-minute trip. adding about seven minutes or so to your morning drive with average speeds now down into the 40s. you can see the difference between the northbound side coming out of this city. we're not seeing any increase there yet. checking with mass transit, no big problems or delays so far. pretty much everything running on time or close to schedule for septa, patco, d.a.r.t., new jersey tra

. >> jessica boyington is looking at route 309. jessica, how's it looking right now?> 309 looks great. we start off on a good note where we have both directions of 309 and our cameras behind me. right around the pa turnpike, both moving along just fine. a couple cars in either direction. no problems there. same goes with most of the pa majors. the 14 minutes if you're headed north or southbound. from 95 to the schuylkill expressway. speeds also still into the 60s. we're not really seeing an increase yet in any of the majors but we're watching a few accidents. they're in new jersey over on the garden state parkway. this is headed northbound past laurel drive. this accident scene is over into the right-hand shoulder. all lanes still open. you can see in our map system through summomers point, we're the greene. on the parkway headed southbound around route 9, that's where we're watching here. again, this is bass river township. right there, we're watching no big problems or delays as you can see. everything still in the green. this one is also into the shoulder as well.
