meteorologist jessica burch is tracking some changes on the way. >> it has been a mild start to the day. we have some clouds rolling in late tonight and that will set us up for some rain showers as early as tomorrow afternoon with light, scattered showers mostly impacting the northbay. areas like santa rosa, petaluma, we could see light amounts of showers in the forecast for us, drying up pretty fast as we head into our saturday set up with cloudy skies holding on tight into the early morning hours on saturday and into the afternoon too. of course, we are also excited for that partial eclipse happening at 9:19 on saturday morning. it is only 83%. if you're able to see it, make sure you have those glasses ready to go so you can see the solar eclipse. if you live locally, we do have a lot of clouds in our forecast. by sunday we will start to slowly see a clearing trend. let's take it a step back. daytime highs today, mostly in the 70s and 80s in our inland areas. it has been a mild day for us so far and that will continue to be the case heading into the evening hours tonight. light winds

first alert meteorologist jessica burch looks ahead to the weekend. >> cloudy skies are fueling the bay this afternoon. temperatures are a lot cooler than where they were at yesterday. yesterday we had a huge heat wave sweep its way through. heading into this we can, it is as though it never happened. we are seeing rain in the forecast. this trickles in early sunday morning, all throughout the morning hours and then it clears up into the evening hours a night giving us some rain. about half an engineer fairfield. yesterday we were talking about 80s in the forecast. today, completely opposite. we are talking about 60s today in san francisco, all the way up into santa rosa. just yesterday we were talking about upper 90s, close to the triple digits anywhere from santa rosa all throughout the east bay and into the santa clara valley where we are seeing a little bit of that haze but it will clear up into this afternoon. it will be beautiful for us today. let's take a quick look at what is happening. i already mentioned a light spackle of showers throughout the bay area on sunday morning. it

now let's send it over to jessica burch. >>> all right, lest take it from here.f with current conditions throughout the bay area. waking up this morning to some cool and cloudy conditions. you know, we're still dealing with that dense fog advisory up in the north bay until around 10:00 this morning and heading into this afternoon, temperatures are nice and mild for us. the big change happens tomorrow so let's talk about what's going on out there in the atmosphere, first things first, a live look over san francisco. and you can see it a lot broader right behind me too. of the bay bridge. we are dealing with some cloudy conditions and visibility not the best. but it will start to improve after the 9:00 hour. great visibility in the afternoon hours and as low pressure slowly starts to move its way in from the north. and what does that do for us tookly? well, it's exacting like a cold front and it a cold front. i mean, the only thing is, it's not going to bring us any rain. it will bring some snow up to the sierra and it will bring some rain up into northern californ

let's go to jessica burch for a quick look at your forecast. >>> a cold front swept through yesterday allowing for daytime highs to only hit the 60s. from inland areas to the coast which is kind of what we are used to along the coast. into the next days, we'll see more cool dense air. this is winter like but we are starting to see that wrapping up the month of october. this is what it's going to look like. clear skies today but more clouds will start rolling in into our friday forecast. match that with windy conditions too. it's going to be a beautiful but dry weekend ahead of us which is perfect if you are heading out for halloween festivities this weekend, just high clouds pushing through, nothing to be too concerned about. let's look at our daytime highs, very similar to yesterday, just a little bit warmer in certain pockets. we are still talking upper 60s throughout the bay area, 70s returning near novato and into concord and more upper 60s into the east bay today, near antioch this afternoon. it's going to be brisk. it's going to be mild, but we are getting closer to winter and i
