jessica castro is in the newsroom with the latest numbers. jessica? >> reporter: matt, the pawnee fire grew overnight, now at 8200 acres. 22 structures destroyed, but it's unclear exactly how many are homes. 600 other structures are still being threatened. unfortunately, the fire is still burning out of control. it remains at 0% containment. this is new video from overnight, more than 200 firefighters on the front line right now. two helicopters are fighting the fire by air. yesterday, there were nine fixed wing planes. they hope to get them back today. as for evacuations, spring valley is threatening -- spring valley, i should say, a community that's threatened, north of highway 20, east of old long valley road, and all 3,000 residents of spring valley ordered to evacuate. i spoke to a cal fire captain he is hopeful shifting wi overnight will help. >> caller: overnight, the winds shifted from a northwest direction to a direct north direction. that's pushing the fire east. there's burn scars out there from past fires such as the walker fire from five

jessica castro is here to break down the ruling. >> reporter: no doubt activists are disappointed with the ruling saying the court has fore saken women. abortion rights opponents say it's a victory for free speech. today's ruling today the reproductive fact act violates the first amendment. the supreme court has voted 5-4 to strike down the california law requires crisis pregnancy centers in the state to more fully disclose who they are. the 2015 law required unlicensed clinics to disclose they are not licensed, and it asked licensed clinics to present abortion as an option, even if not provided at the facility and required clinics to tell women at the consultation the state of california provides free or low cost access to reproductive care including abortions. now the nation's highest court sided with the clinics who organized providing abortion information contradicts their belief. >> today is a very disappointing day. >> reporter: i spoke with david chu from san francisco who co-authored the original bill. >> with providing women with medical information should not have been contro

. >>> jessica castro is live tracking the pawnee fire. >> reporter: good morning. thousands of people in lake county right now are fearful they may never see their homes again. an out-of-control wildfire has spread to 7700 acres. there is zero containment at this point. i want to show you this new video of the pawnee fire that came into our news room a few moments ago. the fire doubled in size saturday and sunday night, fed by dry brush and pushed by winds. spring valley is threatened east of old long valley road. all 3,000 residents of spring valley have been ordered to evacuate. flames have destroyed 12 homes so far, but an estimated 600 homes are threatened. a cal fire captain told us by phone that firefighters have their work cut out for them. >> throughout the night we'll have bull dozers building containment lines and hand crews working the terrain. at night we're expecting to see the fire activity decrease a little bit which allows us to build good containment line close to the edge to hopefully stop the spread of the fire. >> reporter: progress overnight. m
