for more on bill and today's severe weather here is meteorologist jessica starr. hey, jess. >> we had strong storms push through our area earlier at 2:00, 3:00. we have a cold front moving through our area with showers and storms and now dealing with showers and sunshine and we have potential to see a round of sunshine in the overnight hours and let's go ahead and get towards hurricane bill weakening just a little bit. it is a category 2 hurricane at this moment with maximum sustained winds at 104 miles an hour and pressure at 954 millibars. here it is. it will strengthen back into a category 3 and miss bermuda and bring a high surf and rip current towards the east coast of the united states and make landfall in a week and towards nova scotia and back in the atlantic ocean. eastern shore forecast headed to ocean city and rehoboth beach you want to double-check travel plans. some of the beaches have closed from the strong rip currents and high surfs in the area that will impact from hurricane bill. definitely double check your plans. will we see more storms in balt

meteorologist jessica starr joins us now with her sky watch forecast. hings are clearing up, but we had strong showers and storms move through the vicinity earlier today. so take you back to that time. right around 6:45. but 7:15 is when the heat of the storm, that's when the tornado warnings went into effect. you can see the bulls eye, red area right on there. that's where doppler radar indicated some rotation. and that's what put the tornado warnings into effect. all we needed was rotation from are the radar to pick up. showing that we had some rotation on that radar. that's what fired it up. that was a strong line of showers and storms that moved through. we saw heavy rains, lightning, strong winds. and we saw damage reported as well as power outages. this is sky watch hd regional radar right now you can see another line of showers and storms are trying to form. but temperatures right now 75 in baltimore. and 73 in harrisburg. but we will get you caught up on when there is going to be more severe weather. and as well as we are dealing with hurricane b

here is meteorologist jessica starr with the latest forecast. jessica, what is happening out there? >> good news is that things are calming down out there. and most of the severe weather has pushed out to the atlantic ocean. sitting pretty much in a dry sweep across maryland at this hour. and you can see that the line of showers and storms that moved through our area earlier today, brought the severe weather and it brought gusty winds. and cold front stemming from boston through knock no down toward dc pushing out to the atlantic ocean. and brought a lot of trouble out there for portions of the northeast as well. we also have no severe thunderstorm watches or warnings at this point. they have all expired we are in the clear for overnight tonight and for the daytime tomorrow. and those winds that we had today, very strong winds, have now slowly subsideed and they are now from the northwest. bringing in a bit of dryer air towards the vicinity. so next day planner, 74 degrees at midnight. waking up tomorrow to sunshine. 67 at 6 a.m.. and warming up. it will be another hot summer day to

let's check in with jessica starr. hi, jess. >> the bulk of the moisture has pushed to the northeast but we are dealing with a few lingering rain showers as we are under the warm sector of this system. zoom in a little closer just to the north over the mason dixon line over i-83 right on top of shrewsbury. they are currently dealing heavier rain showers. no lightning is embedded in that. a couple of lightning strikes. things could calm down but things could pick up for tomorrow. you can see this is a pretty big system as we have a cold front off to the west and we still do have tropical storm danny that will bring in some wind into our area. so we will have to take a close look on this system, but we still have that flashflood watch in effect through the morning hours with all the rain showers we have had. the island still saturated so we could see low-lying floodin flooding. if you were out on the roadways you will encounter misty conditions. if you are headed toward the fair for tomorrow, we will be dealing with clou
