with me is jasmine robinson, who is the representative of the jessica taylor family. mrs. nnot be here. jessica grew up with, i'm sorry, jasmine grew up with jessica and is her first cousin. and is here to speak on behalf of the victims. and susan klatt is one of my investigators, in a team of investigators we have had on this case for many years. i guess i'll start. we are here now because at 6:20 this morning we received word that a man had been arrested in massapequa park for the long island serial killings of four of the women who were laid in tandem and covered with burlap. along ocean parkway. we know that there are 11 victims that we are certain of. that would include shannon gilbert. this man we believe will be arraigned for anywhere from 1 to 4 of the murders with the burlap, the girls with the burlap over them. but not for the others. that doesn't mean he didn't do the others, it just means we think that at this time the police are not ready to make another arrest. even so, with those facts in mind, it's true to say that we breathe a great sigh of relief, myself a

jessica taylor's remains were found in july of 2003. that was 20 years ago. that's remarkable to think it has gone on this long. >> well, it may go back longer than that. shannon's remains were found in 2011. the case goes all the way back possibly to the 1980s. there are various women who have been murdered from long island who have been found in similar circumstances and came from similar backgrounds. so we see a link or links, but not necessarily. there is an awful lot of coincidences that have occurred in this case. a stunning number. not least of which is one of the victims melissa bartholomew, who comes from lock port in buffalo, i ended up representing the family of another victim in buffalo who was her co-worker. and connected there for to the long island serial killer all the way the buffalo and california as well. there are many links. a lot more to be talked about. more evidence that's involved here. hopefully the police will give us an insight today. >> dana: incredible story and thank you for standing by those families and we'll be in touch as th

we have the two victim, valerie mac and jessica taylor whose bodies were found in gilgo beach as welln manorville, a few miles east of gilgo beach and peaches and the baby and fire island jane doe and biological asian male. there is so much difference between these victims as opposed to the four victims of the gilgo four who were all petite, who were all using craig'slist and internet in order to find their clients and were all found in similar fashion wrapped in the burlap and that sort of thing, so i think it's very possible that there is not only another killer out there but multiple killers. >> so, look, this scared so many people on long island for so long. do you plan on going back now, you know, piecing things together sort of from the beginning based on this? what do you expect to hear if you do? >> i think have to definitely go back and do a time line of this person's life, where they've been, where they vacationed, where they've gone to, because the fact, did he really only kill four people? and another fascinating thing about the case is that, as they were monitoring him an
