jessie? >> reporter: julie, an hour ago deputies cleared the scene that was here in campbell a short time ago. they allowed the free flow of traffic. that's helping with the slow and go of the commute home. investigators are trying to figure out what prompted someone to start shooting before 11:00 this morning inside of a house on broadway in los gatos. one person killed, another injured, rushed to the hospital, trying to get a update a third person treated at the scene for injuries. the suspect tried to escape in a prius but the witnesses said a couple of minutes later they spotted the prius, that touched off a pursuit along highway 17 from los gatos to campbell where they lost control and crashed off the exit from the highway 17 ramp on to hamilton. the driver tried to run. he is now in custody a person of interest who was a passengerrer in the vehicle and suffered injuries either from the crash or the shooting. we're not sure about that. officials say that he was rushed to an area hospital
