i don't really believe that now because i think god reveals himself, jesus reveals himself but at theme i didn't have a clue about anything and in the dream these things are woven together in a way that is so poetic and beautiful i know i can't take credit for it. i've done a lot of inventing in my life. this was utterly not for me and we have an innate sense but it was dramatically life-changing and that is why the book is "fish out of water: a search for the meaning of life" because a fish out of water is a theme that runs through my life, i wrote a short story at yale that won a lot of prizes called the wild ride and wanted to put it in the appendix, but if people go to eric metaxas.com underwriting that is there but there is a dreamlike quality, i was 20 when i wrote it ended won and award at yale and looking back now i see some of these themes in this dreamlike story and it is kind of amazing to me but i wasn't conscious of this stuff so it comes together in a way that i hope people experience as i did, that they would be where i was when it happened to me so they can try to make
