they tell us why. >> about 400 workers at jfk and newark are on strike. they walked off because they want more money and safer working conditions. they are capping cleaners and curbside check-in employees. they are subcontractors. they filed various complaints about job conditions. cabin cleaners are required to search under the seat and the seatback pockets for any dangerous items. they have reported that sometimes they been told to complete security checks on jetblue. have had to file complaints. workers at major hubs in seattle, boston, chicago, chicago, fort lauderdale and d.c. are also striking over similar unfair labor practices. organizers feel the recent terror attacks have put security guards, baggage handlers and cleaners at the forefront in ensuring passenger safety. they are demanding their wages be raised at least $15 per hour. we did reach out to the port authority and they said they don't expect any interruptions because of this work actions. we talked to jetblue tonight and they didn't know anything about it but they're looking into it. th
