joining me, jill colvin, white house reporter for the "associated press" and john harwood, cnbc's editor at large. jill i'll start with you, what are you hearing about how the white house is handling having yet another ex-trump aide cooperating with the fbi investigation? do they have anything to worry about? >> they definitely have something to worry about. and what you've seen here is a pattern. where the fbi has been working with ex-trump kpaen aides, been able to get one guilty plea after the next. been able to convince people they want to cooperate. and if it turns out that indeed their target is the president, and people close to him, the more leverage they have over these people, the more dangerous it becomes for the president and for the white house. the president is deeply concerned about the investigation. he does believe and he continues to tell his friends and people around him that he believes that he's the last round of indictments against manafort. somehow proves that there was no, his campaign was not involved in any kind of collusion with russia. but there's definitely s
