our foreign affairs correspondent jill dougherty is joining us now. dr. also standing by. but let's start with you, jill. what else do we know about the secretary's condition right now? >> well, wolf, this came -- this announcement by the doctors who treat secretary clinton came at the end of a long day of speculation about where precisely that blood clot is located. there was speculation it might have been in her leg, but the state department was not saying. finally at the end of the day, they released the statement. i will read part to you. the doctors of secretary clinton say it's a clot in the vein that's situated in the space between the brain and the skull behind the right ear. it did not result in a stroke or neurological damage. to help dissolve this clot, they began treating the secretary with blood thinners. she will be released once the medication dose has been established. and then they add, in all other aspects of her recovery, the secretary is making excellent progress and we are confident she will make a full recovery. she is in good spirits

cnn's jill dougherty is live in our washington bureau.nd i have been talking closely this morning, but have you learned any more about her condition or anything from her doctors? >> reporter: no, we've been asking, but so far no updates. the state department had a statement sunday night. we're hoping we'll get something new. at this point, it would appear they're really just watching very carefully to see how those anti- anti-coagulants, what kind of effect they have on her. it's been a rough couple of weeks, first the flu, and then the concussion, and now this. it's especially worrisome when you have a secretary of state who's traveled now almost 1 million miles by air, and they've put that on hold, any type of travel on hold for at least another couple of weeks. right now i can't imagine that she is going to be doing much of anything travel-wise. the big issue for the secretary, when she came back -- she was supposed to come back -- was the hearing, a couple of hearings on capitol hill about benghazi, and the state department said she w
