>>reporter: charley, the mayor's request to give chief jim clack a raise came just one day after two city fire companies were shut down to save money, a third company will permanently close in october. the mayor says chief clack deserves this raise because he's done a good job leading the city fire department. that proposal isn't sitting well with fire union leaders. they plan to show up this morning's board of estimates meeting to protest the raise. rick hoffman who is the president of the fire union says it's a slap in the face if clack does get this raise. he makes $161,000 a year right now, but under the mayor's proposal to raise his salary by 2%, he'll be making $190,000 by the year 2018. now, the board of estimates will vote on this measure today this morning at 9:00 at the board of estimates meeting which happens on the second floor here at city hall. we're live at city hall, linda stow, abc 2 news. >>> city police and the maryland human trafficking task force believe they've now broken a major prostitution ring with a baltimore city firefighter at the center of their investiga
