i'm jim handly. >> i'm pat lawson muse. right now, investigators are going over two data recorders as they try to figure out what caused a commuter train to derail. this video was taken minutes after the crash. >> today, nearly a dozen of those injured passengers were releaseed from the hospital. the engineer and conductor have not been questioned. investigators hope to do that soon. jay gray is in the bronx now. >> reporter: they just pulled the last two cars from the train out of the area here. they are moving forward with this investigation. look, the early thought is speed played some kind of part in the accident here as investigators continue to pour through the evidence and interview those who were on the train at the time it left the tracks. massive cranes helped p right and move the battered cars as investigators continue to search why the train left the tracks killing four passengers and injuring more than 60. >> reporter: there could have been a problem with the track. there could have been equipment failure or op

. >> i'm barbara harrison in for jim handly. airports are on alert. the northeast is bracing for a weekend snow and sleet storm. >> here in the washington area, we are expecting light snow and rain. the folks in connecticut, massachusetts, new hampshire and rhode island could get up to a foot of snow. amelia segal is tracking it. >> well, pat, we are looking at a winter storm warning for frederick and washington counties in maryland and also some counties back in west virginia. this winter storm warning begins early saturday morning at 5:00 a.m. and going to run early through seasoned morning. the pink is under the winter storm warning starting early saturday and sunday. these areas are dealing with the potential for the most snowfall. not only that, sleet and freezing rain as well. now, a winter weather advisory is in effect for montgomery, lauden, northern fauquier and areas to the west including la ray and winchester. prince george's, fairfax, not under any weather alerts right now. the biggest concern is for those of you under the winter storm war

. >> i'm barbara harrison in for jim handly. tonight, storm team 4 is tracking rain in the area. >> let's go to chief meteorologist, doug kammerer. what's in store? >> we have showers across the area. they are going to fall in the form of rain and snow showers as we move through the rest of the area. tonight, storm team 4 radar talking about where the rain is. it's around the d.c. metro area. southern maryland, calvert county, along the chesapeake a lot in the way of shower activity. this is all part of a system that is way up toward the northeast, bringing boston a lot of snow. there's another piece of this system back toward the west. it's going to move in overnight and the next few hours. i expect the rain and/or snow to increase. take a look at the temperatures here. 39 in d.c. if that was to fall as snow, and it may later tonight, it's most likely not going to stick. 60 in charlottesville. the coldest areas, you may not see any of this as it should stay to the south. we'll talk more about this and a major temperature swing.

. >> i'm jim handly. to learn of an allegation of this kind is shocking and disturbing.ews 4s mark segraves was in court today and joins us live to explain why there could be other victims out there. mark? >> reporter: that's right, jim. not only was this officer on duty at the time he took these pictures, allegedly, he was at the house responding to a call for help from the victim's mother. prosecutors just told us awhile ago inside this courthouse, they believe there are more victims out there. according to prosecutors, officer mark washington responded to a call about 1:00 a.m. sunday. a mother said her 15-year-old daughter was missing. later that day, the girl returned home. officer washington showed up and asked to speak to the girl in private. he told her to take her clothes off to take pictures of her injuries. when the girl said no and told him she didn't have injuries, he insisted. he took close up pictures of her
