. >> i'm jim handly. angry crowds forming in st. louis, missouri, after another deadly officer-involved shooting as ten days of protests are taking a toll in ferguson as they are coming off another violent night. scott, what are you hearing? >> the latest shooting happened four miles away from ferguson and still a busy, active scene. st. louis police say a man tried to rob a convenience store and when officered tried to arrest him they say he pulled a knife and then shots were fired. the suspect died at the scene. many of the protesters gathering and screaming at investigators. police in ferguson arrested 31 people in clashes, two people were shot. and authorities say police came under heavy gun fire. we also know four officers were hurt by rocks and a bottle thrown at them. the national guard in the area but keeping its distance for now. ferguson's mayor is calling for an end to the violence and says most of the residents support what leaders are doing. >> right now i'm focused on the well being of my community today and going forw

. >> and i'm jim handly a man hunt is underway for a suspect wanted in connection to a violent crime spree in northern virginia. some residents are being told to stay inside their homes now. this all began with a shooting near the mcdonald's on dale boulevard. police tell us a short time later the gunman carjacked someone less than a mile away. investigators say his name is duane williams. for the past few hours officers have been searching by air, land and water in the community where police are telling residents to stay inside and keep pets indoors, as well. they say williams should be considered armed and dangerous. >> we have a great deal of concern to get him in custody since our second victim was a random victim he happened to be there when he was attempting to find a ride. >> pat collins will have the latest on the search tonight at 5:00. >>> kids united in grief after a local teenager and three other students were killed in a fiery crash last night. 18-year-old abe pishevar was on board the cessna plane that crashed. he graduated from georgetown prep. he just started college.

. >> i'm jim handly. president obama set to speak any moment about the situation in ferguson, missouri, after another explosive night. the president's comments come as michael brown's family calls for the arrest of the officer who reportedly shot him six times. let's go now to scott macfarlane at the live desk. >> we'll get to the president the moment he begins speaking. first the results of the autopsy conducted at the request of michael brown's family. the independent report reveals brown was shot at least six times including twice in the head and shows no bruising or blows to the body which would be consistent with the struggle between brown and the officer before the shooting. it was concluded the teenager died of gunshot wounds. brown's family said they conditioned their own report because they can't depend on local investigators. >> they cannot trust whoever will be put in the reports about the tragic execution of their child. >> the developments come after another violent night in ferguson, missour

. >> i'm jim handly. first at 4:00, a grieving family, a desperate manhunt. there are several details about a 3-year-old girl's killing and the search for the gunman. we go live to darcy spencer. she's in landover with new information for us. darcy? >> reporter: i'm standing across the street from the house where the shooting happened yesterday. if we look, we counted at least six bullet holes in the front of this house, in the siding area. that's where the little girl was killed yesterday as she was here visiting some of her cousins. prince george's county held a conference this afternoon. they did confirm that this all stemmed from a dispute over clothing. the suspect, yvonne wallace. he accused an acquaintance of wearing some of his clothing. he left the area and when he came back, he had a gun. that's when police say he opened fire into the house, striking that little girl, 3-year-old. she later died at the hospital. wallace is still on the run. there's an active search going on all day today. they are not going to stop searching until they find her. toda

i'm jim handly. rm to "reporters notebook." a lot to get to. let's start out in virginia and this week back mcdonnell took the stand in his own defense. any bomb shells and do you think he's having any success trying to paint this picture of a marriage in trouble that they couldn't have conspired all along the way in what has become this corruption case? >> well, we now know that he has said that he is not living with his wife. in fact, he is living apparently with his parish priest, who happens, as i understand it, i believe this is correct, was his great friend of his at notre dame when they went there. and they bonded before the trial. this is part of the defense issue that they weren't that close, their marriage was in trouble, how could they conspire? against that is -- are charges, you know, he was governor, he's the leader of the state, he should have known more. that seems to be where we are on that issue. >> it just seems now it's become an open therapy session in many ways and we're watching it and the public is seeing it. it could be
