jim kelly with his wife jill are sharing struggles off the court. took hunter's life when he was only 8-years-old not before teaching the meaning of hope and faith. jill details the family's struggle in a new book. jim and jill kelly join me now. good to see you. thank you for being here. are you doing all right? >> i'm doing great. >> sean: there is a strain on a marriage, separation, stressful life, pressure, famous husband. >> absolutely it is all over the news. not our relationship. you know, infidelity and especially with professional athletes. the statistics were against us. then we had a child with a terminal disease. our marriage was taken a hit every way. >> sean: you used the term our relationship darkened. >> in every way. i had to deal with my own bitterness and anger that i already had topped with all the situation that we dealt with, with hunter. as much joy as hunter gave us, our marriage was falling apart. >> sean: hunter is , by the way, you're a quarterback. i assume my son is going to be quarterback one day normal thought process.

[applause] our panelists for the evening are here with us. let's get to it. josh, first question. mr. binnie, first response. >> we're here to talk about the issues. the tone of this race has become an issue. a lot of people say it has been one of the nastiest primary races in recent memory in new hampshire. where do you draw the line between an honest critique -- of their critique of your opponents background and nasty campaigning? >> it is a pleasure to be here tonight. it has been my pleasure to run for the united states senate. the people of new hampshire have gotten to know me. my dad introduced me over nine months ago. folks understand that i care about the job and the economy. when i became the frontrunner in the august, we were attacked by all kinds of private organizations. i thought that was not fair. i did not like it. not for amnesty. i am a liberal. ask my kids. what i am about is talking and dealing with the economic crisis that

[applause] >> thank you all for being here. it is a great honor and a great privilege to be able to recognize the work that all of these good people have done. some of these -- even the administrators. we have known to the since she was a tiny teacher. it is good to see her pass through and come to this point. it is a wonderful time to be able to celebrate the great work these teachers have done and these principles have done, and know it is emblematic of the work everyone else is doing. it was just 162 years ago. jim and i are the only ones in the room who remember it. [laughter] there were seven teachers, seven schools, and seven school board members in san francisco. we have come a long way. james was one of those first people. it is a name we have kept in the district ever since. thank you very much for coming. congratulations to all of you. just think how much longer this could all go on. thank you. have a fascinating situation where sarah palin endorsed the woman candidate, kelly iat, but the manchester union leader and jime local guy from manchester. i'm going to have to read his name. ovid la montagne. the union leader has tremendous clout in new hampshire. and they went with la montagne. and they backed him all the way. and they and demint are probably going to take her down

jim, investigations, i have spoken to a lot of other people. sergeants and police officers alike. nothing has happened regarding this matter. nothing at all. the main person who was working on this, officer kelly dunn is not here. she has missed appointments. i want you to understand that one person is not doing find due to their thoughts and actions being affected by the weapon. it is not working out at all. i do not know what you are doing. these are horribly tortured people. they are really tortured people. there are some cases of homicide from various accounts and everything like this. this is not right at all. we have had this for the last three or five years. there is no help whatsoever. now they are attacking. even before, they are attacking police, fbi, and military personnel. the threat is greatly escalated. i want you all to realize that you have to do something about this now. the main person in charge of this, it is not showing up. she basically cannot do her job. she will not be able to think. i want you to know how you are going to combat this threat. i have a death threat regarding this case. this is something that is insanely serious. nothing is happening. please do something a

kelly dunne. she has been affected by the weapon. aside from this, james ramsay i think could be affected by the weapon. he is out of the office now, looking into this. and jim, who has not investigated the matter for eight months, eight months. i cannot say, what is going on with this? it is a humiliating failure on sfpd. i don't know why you are not looking into this. it is dangerous. you cannot protect yourself or anybody else. do you understand what i am saying? you guys could be attacked by this weapon. you could be affected by some laser or some of my career paul's going in your mind, -- or some micro-pulse in your mind. here is the main thing about this -- stay in constant contact with the fbi and the military and everything like that. that is very dangerous. please be very fearful. president marshall: alright, at the last public comment? one more. come forward, sir. >> i have been a longtime resident of san francisco, and i personally believe patrol specials are a nice thing. president marshall: sir, when that item comes up, you can comment on that. this is other than anything on the agenda. ok, then we) -- ok, then we close. >> good evening. i repre

>> all right, kelly o'donnell, following these trials that we're still wondering when they're going to happen anyway. thanks very much. one other interesting news on capitol hill is jim demint's announcement this week that he will not allow any unanimous consent for anything happening on the senate floor until he gets to review the bills. >> this is the republican senator from south carolina who is certainly become a conservative star. you thought you saw gridlock before. >> who runs the senate? harry reid? mitch mcconnell or jim demint. it's an interesting question. >> so much of the actual business of the senate gets done this way, unanimous consent. so this is potentially a key development. >>> let's move overseas. high anxiety in britain and france over a newly discovered terror plot. nbc's jenny wovell is live in britain with the latest. what can you tell us? >> i can tell you that the current threat of a terror attack in london is considered to be severe. that means the threats of terrorist activity is highly likely. we're not quite at the top level yet, which would be critical. and that would mean a terror threat would be imminent. so in terms of the way peopl

candidate, the palin candidate, kelly ayotte, the attorney general, is certainly quite conservative, but then ovide lamontagne is backed by the ultra conservative leader and jim demint, the conservative in the senate. it's a tough story line. but if lamontagne pulls it out, you have to chak it up on the grass roots side of the ledger. the corporate party, they always nominate the oldest white guy in the room. now, this time they're nominating the age griest white person in the room, the most extreme person in the room. and it's exciting for me, just as an analyst to watch. >> eric, in new hampshire, could either republican candidate beat the democratic candidate? >> very much so. much better odds in new hampshire for either ayotte or lamontagne than o'donnell in delaware. the interesting thing, if ayotte wins in new hampshire, there are going to be a lot of conservatives -- i've been raising this point for a month, even though i support o'donnell, resources might have been better spent in new hampshire over lamontagne where the tea party candidates had a shot of getting their guy to washington where they don't have so much of a shot in delaware. >>> we contin

kelly's court. see you at 1 p.m. jenna: "happening now" in washington, tough talk from republican leaders addressing thousands of conservative activists at their annual values voter summit. speakers like mitt romney, jimsing on social issues as well as economic priorities. sarah palin will be the keynote speaker at a fundraiser in iowa. fox news digital politics editor, chris, we heard mitt romney just wrapped up at the summit in d.c. not too far from you. what's the significance of this? >> well, this is, if you will, a casting call for who are the 2012 presidential contenders who can lock up the religious right, who can get social conservatives to sign off and go with them on a journey to running for president. and for romney, it's particularly important because he has never been the favorite of social conservatives. he's never been that guy because of some positions he had when he was governor of massachusetts and other reasons. he's never been their darling. they prefer people like mike huckabee and, certainly, sarah palin. but for romney if he can at least get to a point where social conservatives say he's okay with us, that's going to be big for him. so he needed to show well today. jenna: so sa
