i'm jim rosenfield. in the last few minutes, we received brand-new information that could mean a drastically different forecast for the weekend. so let's bring in nbc 10 first alert meteorologist, sheena -- glen "hurricane" schwartz, i should say. what do we need to know right now about this storm? >> it looks like it's going to be spread out and not get well organized. as you can see, this gigantic area of moisture, actually two areas. this first area is racing our way. this one, may not really get close enough. this is moving so fast, it could bring precipitation in now during the day on saturday. here is some of the latest computer models bringing some rain into delaware and south jersey, saturday afternoon, and even some snow start night into parts of delaware and south jersey. but the main storm may never get developed in time to produce significant snow during the day on sunday. so we've made all these changes. this is why we do live tv at 11:00 at night. now, for sunday's timeline, i've pushed any

i'm jim rosenfield. that in a minute.t, we're tracking rain in parts of the region again tonight, that rain began a few hours ago and we're also talking about enough snow this weekend to create problems. nbc 10's chief meteorologist glenn "hurricane" schwartz is here with the latest. glenn, snow. how much? >> well, looks likes we have the potential for several inches accumulation in parts of the area, some places going to get more than others. and rain is going to be mixing in in parts of the area too. it will complicate things. we have mostly sunny skies at the moment in parts of the philadelphia area. a lot of the showers that were around pretty much fizzled out. but this is not. this is going to be a nor'easter developing on sunday. it's going to produce moisture. the question is related to the temperature and will it be cold enough for snow for a majority of the storm for a majority of the area. it looks like it's going to be pretty much all snow north and west. that could be substantial accumulation. the timeline is

i'm jim rosenfield. sky force 10 found several trucks treating the major roads.we're told the highways will be treated again tomorrow. we have team coverage of the weekend snowstorm. we begin with chief meteorologist glenn "hurricane" schwartz and glenn, i know you've been saying this is not really coming together as much as we thought it might. >> that's right. that would limit the potential, so it's not going to be a monster snowstorm like remember the one we got in january. it's late in the season and people may not be expecting it after temperatures in the 60s today. well, the drive home is just fine right now. but it may be a different drive at times during the day on sunday because the visibility is going to be so much lower. this is an area of moisture extends quite a distance from missouri into the gulf of mexico. it's going to end up as a coastal storm, a nor'easter. but it does not look like it's going to come together soon enough to create an intense one. it will be providing enough moisture and enough cold air to produce many hours of snow during sund
