. >> hi, i'm jimmie jenk kins. i'm in support of the legislation as a part-time bartender in the city. i moved here in 32 years. i was involved in the nightclub industry for the past 30 years. being involved with one foot in the white collared world and one foot in the blue collared world has allowed me to stay in the city. it's allowed me to raise my daughter in the city and provide a good standard of living for all of us and our family. and i'd like to see that continue. not only for me. i used to think i was unique, but there is hundreds of thousands of us in the city that need the additional employment that these places provide. not just for bartenders, but you're talking about security, sound, event planners, everybody that is involved in this industry is affected by this legislation. i'm in strong support of it for those very reasons. you're talking about thousands of jobs, livability and for people to remain and contribute in the city. people don't move here for cornfields, they move here for the vibrancy, t
