jimmy lee is ceo of the wealth consulting group and he joins us now to talk about that, good to see you as always, jimmy, welcome back. >> thanks, sue, how are you? >> i'm good, thank you. what does this mean for the average investor, and do you buy into the thesis that it is a shrinking wall street pie? >> i don't at all. for the average investor, it's important to understand that indexing strategy has been around a long time. with the explosion of etfs, that's why this has gotten much bigger. but i don't think fundamental analysis is dead. i don't think it will ever go away. in fact i'll take a contrarian view for active investors. if there's less people doing research for fundamental gems, to find gems out there, it will give opportunities for analysts to pick companies that investors will miss. >> for the average investor, is it smarter to index if you have a larger percentage of the big guys buying the -- some of the individual stocks? does it skew it for the individual investor? it seems like you don't think it does. >> you know, we offer both strategies, both passive and active.

jimmy lam of san francisco. christina joins us live in the city's richmond district where lam rorptd lee lived. >> reporter: we canl you we are in the inner richmond here in front of a home that's listed for a jimmy lam. there was heavy police presence here on the 300-block of 4th avenue. it was around 3:30 this afternoon that we saw police leaving this home with bags of evidence. they were carrying a computer tower as well as filings of boxes that they believed to come from the home possibly owned by lam. the evidence put in the back of trunks and then the cars drove off. neighbors told us that lam was a very quiet person, a low key guy and are really shocked by what's happened today. >> it's really creepy that people next door have the ability to have guns and shoot people that they work with. i don't feel safe. >> very safe for the people who got killed but it's very shock to see something that you never expect. >> reporter: sources tell us that lam worked at ups since 1999. the 38-year-old was also described by co-workers as a quiet man. although police are not con pirming that he was the shooter, we did hear

lee. ktvu fox 2news. >> we don't know the motive for the shooting but we are learning more about the gunman. jimmy lam suffer from depression and had been sad in the weeks leading up to the shooting. he was involved in a dispute with an exgirlfriend about visitation rights for their child. public records show that he was arrested in 2010 and 2013 at least twice on dui charges. a colleague said he was not a ups driver at the time of the arrests. he was loading and unloading packages. >>> a man was convicted of killing his girlfriend whose body was found inside a suitcase in san francisco bay in 2010. lee bell was convicted yesterday of first degree murder in the killing of pearla louis. the mother of father was badly beaten and was strangled. police say their two year relationship was abusive. the daughter said she is hoping her mother's death will put a spotlight on domestic violence. >> it's very serious. it does escalate and can escalate to something that as sierras this tragedy we are going through and that i would never wish on any family. >> no sentencing date has been set yet for lee bell. >
