this is tropical storm joakim. 40-mile-per-hour winds.he 10th named storm of the tropical hurricane season, the atlantic hurricane season. between bermuda and miami. a lot of the computer models do show it moving to the west and then covering up towards the mid-atlantic over the weekend. i will actually show you the computer models, the spaghetti plots in my full accuweather forecast. in the meantime, we've got another system on the way tomorrow. water vapor showing here is joakim right here. and then there is low pressure over the gulf coast. and this will be streaming up, really pulled up towards us with the cold front tomorrow night. this can bring us very heavy rain. we need the rain, expected rain tomorrow night into wednesday morning. we're looking at a general 1-2 inches of rain. farther up to the northwest, central pennsylvania can get 4-6 inches of rain and this is welcome. in the past 48 days only two days with more than .1 of an inch of rain. september 10 close to five inches of rain. i'll talk more about how much rain to expec

it's possible that by this time tomorrow evening, joakim could be a category 1 hurricane. it has slowed down now, but what does that mean for us? if the track continues, it will take a turn to the north over the weekend and start heading northward toward the northeast coastline and toward new england by sunday afternoon. now, yesterday's review, the track showed a lot closer to us by sunday afternoon. now it's a little bit farther away, a little bit farther to the south because it slowed down, so we have to continue to watch the storm as things progress. because a lot of this could change between now and then. if it stays on track, the possibility of more heavy rain and wind coming into our area over the weekend. so that's still not a given. we still have to watch and see things track along. right now we're seeing pretty good rain out there in southern the west by mt. olive and chester and mt. bouton in new jersey getting some showers. and in florida near blooming grove, you're getting some rain there. temperatures are in the 70s. look at all that rain to our south and wes

tropical storm joakim is in the atlantic. it's off the coast of florida here, way off the coast. it's mind being its own business spinning to the southwest backing down in southwest. winds are at 40 miles per hour. a minimum tropical depression here. minimal tropical storm. as the storm continues to develop, it will meander for a few days, at least today into wednesday, maybe thursday. you see it doesn't start to eject out and head north until friday. that's when the conditions in the atlantic with high pressure out in the atlantic and low pressure system to the west pull that up from south to north. so, we will have to keep an eye on that and see where it goes. right now the cone has it anywhere in here from the atlantic coast. we will see the tropical storm. that is 2 in the morning on sunday. so, we will see what happens with that. the computer models are going inland here to the carolinas or making it into the new york city area. it's way early. we will see what happens with this. for now we have to concentrate on the rain coming for this evening and tonight. you will see on
