joanne pileggi live now as the king of prussia area prepares for snow and also the cold. joanne? >> reporter: well here we go, everyone. ready, set, snow! that sounds about right. continued cold, frigid temperatures and now snow on the way. we're here to tell you that road clues crews, penn got, philadelphia crews will have you covered to try to keep everyone as safe as possible over the next 24 to 48 hours. here's some video from skyfox earlier today above some road crews. preparing the settlement and blacktop with brian and anti icing materials. now, that is the idea as road crews are out in advance of this winter snow event. best case here the snow will be coming on a saturday and there should be fewer drivers on the roads. cold temperatures do present a challenge in terms much with us putting salt down. we will monitor -- we'll monitor that. the cold temperatures can make salt less effective. there by we may need to put more salt down. our crews will monitor that throughout the day tomorrow. and if that becomes necessary we'll put more salt down than our initial spread. >> pe

fox 29's joanne pileggi joining us live from northern liberties with the latest.entlemen on. >> reporter: several businesses and residents dealing with a water main break. and that means no electricity new york city gas service, no water until they make all of the necessary repairs. yeah, no, never a good time for this to happen. but it did this morning. a busy saturday morning for a restaurant nail salon and a few other places along girard avenue in fishtown. a 12-inch water main broke gushing water everywhere and into the basements of a number of buildings near front street. >> we found several properties with water in their cellars. so each property on this stretch has some water in the basement. >> some worse than others but philadelphia water crews were here quickly and started the process of pumping out all that water. while other workers break up the blacktop to reach the water main below. >> water everywhere. my basement was 3-meters. >> the city has 3200 miles of shared water mains. many dating back to the 1800s. while the city works to replace miles of p
