with me now is congressman joaquin castro.nd able to do to help ukraine protect itself from russia? >> as you mentioned, congress is on board, many are, with the administration allowing poland and other allies to send what were soviet era mig jets over to ukraine. these are the jets ukrainian pilots are used to flying. we support more military assistance. we're supportive of the $10 million request president biden has put forward. also, we support other things like -- in addition to the financial sanctions done by the biden administration, our european allies and the world, the republican from missouri promote cultural sanctions on russia to put pressure on them to change. on the humanitarian side the president has put forward tps, protective status for ukrainians already here. we also believe there should be an allotment of ukrainian refugees allowed to enter the united states. many are going throughout europe. we believe there should be financial support to support european nations. >> so glad you raised the point about tps.
