abc 7's jobina fortson has been talking to police.t go we know. >> reporter: police are investigating this as a quadruple murder-suicide. it appears everyone involved was shot. two people died at the hospital, three others including the suspect were found inside the home. you actually cannot see it from where we're standing. it's around the corner here. police still have habbitts court blocked off. it's going to be a while before this gets open. several people evacuated from their homesment about eight to ten of them staying at a nearby community center. officers are working on getting them fed right now because they haven't been inside their home since about 8:40 last night which is when police got the call about shots fired in the 500 block of habbitts court. san jose police say when officers got there, two adults exited the house, each suffering from gunshot wounds. they were both rushed to nearby hospitals. there were multiple flash bangs before the standoff ended earlier this morning. police found the other three bodies inside th

live from morgan hill, jobina fortson, abc 7 news. >> in the south bay we're learning what may have led to the murder-suicide in san jose that left five people dead. according to "the mercury news," the gunman was upset that his wife's family got visas while his family was denied. the suspect is identified as chi ta. his wife escaped and called 9 1 911. >>> 23-year-old miles hall's mother and grandmother called 911. his family says hall was known to police and that's what his mother told the dispatcher. >> he's going to be aggressive to the police. >> five officers responded. police released their footage as well as video from a home security camera. officers say hall refused to drop the metal bar and kept running toward them even after being hit by bean bag rounds. two officers then fired their weapons. the family's attorney says the video shows hall was actually running alongside officers. >> the fact that he was trying to get away, you don't get to shoot somebody down who is running away unless that person has committed a deadly offense. >> the hall family has already filed a wrongfu

abc 7 news reporter jobina fortson is live at that dealership this morning. jobe bean nah, police have removed a car within the last ho hour. >> reporter: yes. we did see a tow truck arrive and pull a car away from the scene. not clear who that car belongs to yet. according to employee, the suspect worked at the parts department at the ford t. apparently the two people he shot were managers here. the employees are also telling us that the vindividual -- thehe victims would be the people involved in the firing of the suspect. about an hour ago, that car was towed from the crime scene here. around 6:00 last night, police got a call about multiple shots fired at the dealership. officers found the suspect on the ground with a handgun in his hand. police u found two other male victims inside the ford dealership. morgan hill is a small community. people are absolutely devastated. >> i'm very upset myself. these are people i know. i never expected this to happen, especially at a car dealership. >> reporter: police have not confirmed if the shooting was in fact a cas

jobina fortson live in san jose with what this means for commuters. jobina. >> reporter: good morning. yes, the union overwhelmingly rejected the offer from the vta. you can see the bus going by right here. some of these drivers may decide to go on strike, but they have to give 72 hours' notice before they decide to do that. voting wrapped up around 10:00 p.m. last night. we're getting new information as well as to the issues. the vta and union have been in talk since last august trying to finalize a new labor contract. they reached 37 tentative agreement but can't seem to work out wage increases and the vta push for union members to be able to make larger contributions toward their pensions. about 1300 so-called classic employees in the union currently pay 1.9% of their gross salary toward a 6% employee pension contribution. the vta pays the rest of that money. non-union employees and employees hired after 2016 pay the full employee contribution. if the vta -- if the union decides to go forward with this strike, this could be the vta's first ever bus
