that's where abc2 news joce sterman joins us. >> reporter: it all happened in this corner town house on pinecove avenue. as you mentioned, a baltimore city office are was shot by a baltimore county officer which raises the question, what were they doing in anne arundel county. this happened at 2:11 according to police. cops from different agencies were gathered at the town house to serve a narcotics warrant. they arrested the suspect. when the cops moved inside a baltimore county officer shot a baltimore city officer in the arm. that officer had been on the city force 16 years. baltimore police are not identifying him. they said he was on the dea task force. he was taken to shock trauma after the shooting. the scene, they say, was bizarre, what happened after this police shooting. >> everybody rushed over to him and then they wanted to check on him. he was screaming because he was in pain. they went inside. at that point everybody was standing around. >> reporter: list in anne arundel county said they are not sure how many shots were fired. as for baltimore county police, we know it'

joce sterman, abc2 news. >>> a warn has been issued for a suspect but the police are waiting to release his name until he gets out of the hospital. he was the suspect in an armed robbery on wednesday. someone spotted the car and police followed him. when police finally got the man out of the car, he reached for a gun and two officers shot him. he is in shock trauma. >>> a man walking to his car in glen burnie was beaten and robbed. someone attacked him from behind. the attacker got the man's wallet and took off. the man did have injuries but did not have to go to the hospital. police searched the area but were not able to find a suspect. >>> developing tonight the man who witnessed abuse by former penn state coach jerry sandusky spent time in court. mike mcqueary said he saw sandusky molesting a boy in a shower. mcqueary testified in a preliminary hearing for the two penn state officials accused of lying. when asked why he didn't go to police, mcqueary said one of the officials he talked to was in charge of the police department so he felt that he had. prosecutors said jerry sandusky mo

joce sterman has the latest developments from virginia tech. >> reporter: we've learned the shooter tried to run to a nearby greenhouse to change clothes after he shot and killed officer derrick krauss. a sheriff's deputy spotted the man before he could change, he turned the gun on himself. tonight we've learned the gunman was not a student and we do not know the connection he may have had with krauss. police say the man likely stole a rental car from someone 15 miles away from the virginia tech campus. tonight the community is mourning the loss of officer krauss. it's a tough blow to a department that has been through so much. >> you've heard or read officer krauss described as a swat officer and receiving awards and those types of things. derrick is more than that. derrick was a friend, to many in our department. derrick was a husband. derrick was a father. derrick was a son. >> virginia tech was also the scene of the deadliest shooting in u.s. history in 2007 a student killed 32 people and injured dozens more before turning the gun op himself. the university was criticized for its resp
