jocelyn moran is looking at the damage from the storm.elyn, i know you were driving through the area as well. what are you seeing so far this morning? >> reporter: yeah, amanda, i'm glad you mentioned that. that is the one thing to start off with. it's dark. it's not raining here but still the roads are scary to be driving in right now, especially because it's dark. you are not completely aware if there is flooding. i drove through flooding and not seeing it and by the time i had seen it, it was too late. it is scary. be extra careful. be extra aware. if you can't avoid the highways, especially in the dark, please do. we want to show you a home actually, this tree fell on this home. it's dark so we can't see too in depth as far as the damage. you can see how big the tree is and we have seen the downed trees throughout the bay area. imagine just very scary for everyone living in the bay area, especially people that have been experiencing this. we don't have much details as far as this incident. we don't know if inbound was inside the home

jocelyn moran is en route to a mudslide mess and a closure on state route 35. tell us about that. >> reporter: yeah, we are still away from it, maybe 20 to 30 minutes away from it. i can show you what the roads are looking like on 101 -- actually 280 now southbound. if you look at the roadways you are seeing the rain coming down. it's slippery. we are driving about 55 miles per hour in the left lane but the windshield wipers are going, the rain is coming down. people are moving at similar speeds as we are. they have slowed down and understandably so. it's scary driving on the roadways. we talked about the big rig on 680 are in that closed all lanes and we have seen areas around the bay that have been flooded. we showed you that parking lot earlier in the morning. now on the roadways on 280. this is a highway where people tend to go 60, 70 miles per hour on this highway. people are slowing down even in the fast lane. being careful on the roadways is important. but we will try to get over to the mudslide that we are hearing about. we have heard about trouble spot
